BUNAWAN, Agusan del Sur –  A new Tribal Monitoring Station was recently inaugurated in Sitio Nangka, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, marking a significant step in collaborative environmental stewardship. The event, headed by Hawodon Rolito S. Penaloga, saw the presence of Philsaga Mining Corporation's (PMC) Vice President Engr. Ferdinand A. Cortes and Resident Manager Engr. Alvin B. Castaños, alongside the Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Gilbert G. Elorde, underscored the importance of partnership.

This unique monitoring station will be instrumental in empowering the local tribal communities to participate in monitoring and protecting their ancestral domain actively. It will facilitate the integration of traditional ecological knowledge with modern monitoring techniques, ensuring a holistic approach to environmental management.
