Security and Enforcement Group (SEG) Conducts Comprehensive Refresher Training on Gate Operations
ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR — To reinforce security protocols and ensure a unified approach to access control and gate operations, the Security and Enforcement Group (SEG) of PHILSAGA Mining Corporation recently concluded a series of Refresher Training Courses. The program, targeting both Agency Security Guards and Company Guards, was meticulously organized in three batches, commencing on August 10, 17, and 24, 2024.
The training sessions, which had 120 participants, aimed to foster a common understanding among the guards, enhance their appreciation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in access control, and ensure synchronized implementation across the board.
Key objectives of the training included equipping the guards with the proper techniques and procedures for conducting thorough inspections and searches, ensuring they are well-prepared to manage these critical tasks effectively. Additionally, the course provided detailed guidance on handling evidence and apprehending individuals, emphasizing the importance of adhering to legal protocols to ensure that any actions taken could withstand scrutiny in potential legal proceedings.
The training was led by Adelaido M. Torregoza, Jr., Consuelo Mine Security and Enforcement Department (CMSED) Manager, and Joseph T. Ocares, SEG Operation Supervisor. Both of them played pivotal roles as resource persons, leveraging their expertise and insights to deliver comprehensive and practical knowledge to the participants. Their contributions ensured that the guards are well-equipped to uphold the highest security standards.
