ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR – On December 17, 2024, the Mindanao Mineral Processing and Refining Corporation (MMPRC), through its Social Development and Management Program (SDMP), in partnership with the Mine Environmental Protection and Enhancement Office (MEPEO) and coordination with the Barangay Local Government Units organized a highly successful Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Caravan in Sitio Palibu, Brgy. Novele, and Purok 4 (Housing) in Brgy. Tagbayagan. This event aimed to raise awareness about the company's ongoing environmental and community-focused initiatives while supporting local households.

As part of the activity, MMPRC distributed 175 essential goods in Sitio Palibu and 142 in Purok 4 (Housing). This gesture underscored the corporation's commitment to community welfare, demonstrating its dedication to social and environmental responsibility.

The IEC Caravan also served as an essential platform to promote environmental awareness, emphasizing the role of ecological responsibility in achieving sustainable development. By highlighting the significance of community-driven programs, MMPRC showcased how such initiatives can lead to positive social change while fostering a stronger sense of unity and cooperation among the local communities.
