CONTINUOUS PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM: FOUNDATION FOR PREPAREDNESS
ROSARIO, AGUSAN DEL SUR – Philsaga Mining Company's Security Enforcement Group (SEG) has launched a continuous Physical Fitness Program (PFP) to improve the well-being and performance of its security professionals. The Security Departments, including the Exploration and Sinug-ang Special Project Security Office (EXSSPSO), were instructed to conduct organized athletics at their most convenient time, twice a week, to maximize the number of participants who have different shift schedules. The program, in collaboration with the Philsaga Mining Hospital (PMH) medical team, aims to boost security personnel's physical fitness, ensuring they are always prepared for their roles.
The program is a shift after the Combative Program was concluded last 2nd Quarter CY 2024. SEG Manager, BGen Maurito L. Licudine, AFP (Res), emphasized the importance of this program in maintaining peak physical condition for the company's security team.
"Physical fitness is critical to ensuring the security and protection of our company's employees and assets. This initiative ensures that our security personnel are ready to handle any situation or emergency when the need arises," Licudine said. Marlon Jumawid, a Company Guard, expressed his appreciation, noting the program's positive effects. "I've seen a significant improvement in my fitness and confidence, and I can respond more effectively to emergencies," he shared.
The continuous Physical Fitness Program marks a significant step in SEG's dedication to enhancing security operations. It is expected to boost morale and performance among its security team.
