Access to medicine is a basic human right, but unfortunately, not everyone has the means to obtain the necessary medications. To address this issue, a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) worth Php 550,000.00 was implemented from January to December 2020 in Bunawan Wide, to provide medicine to those who need it.
The PPA aimed to directly distribute medicine to patients who are unable to afford or access them. The initiative was implemented through the collaboration of the local government unit, the Department of Health, and the private sector.
The quantifiable and expected result of the project was to bridge the gap in healthcare and ensure that patients receive the medications they need. By providing the necessary medicine, patients could manage their illnesses, prevent further complications, and improve their overall quality of life.
The support provided to the patients not only addressed their immediate medical needs but also promoted responsible and equitable healthcare practices. The partnership between the public and private sectors was a model for future initiatives that aim to support and improve the health and well-being of Filipinos.
