BUNAWAN, AGUSAN DEL SUR – On July 4. 2024, the Mine Covered Court in barangay Consuelo, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur buzzed with excitement as it hosted the inaugural Integrated Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Day and Safety Fair. Different mine departments and contractors, including Mount Rock Powder Corporation, Nitro Pacific Rockworks, Inc., OPUS, Marilag, and Optijobs Manpower Agency, actively participated, showcasing a solid commitment to safety and health.
Led by the Safety and Health Department, MEPEO, and Community Relations, the Integrated IEC event provided informative talks and demonstrations. Resident Manager Engr. Alvin B. Castaños, TLCR Manager, For. Gladess Dianne S. Buot and Assistant Vice-President for Mine Operations Lorenz Emmanuel I. Almazar graced the event, emphasizing the importance of fostering a safety culture and continuous learning.

The event began with an energizing Zumba Live Contest wherein the Security Department was hailed as the champion, followed by the live IEC advertisement presentations, a standout, creatively conveying contractor services wherein Nitro Pacific Rockworks, Inc. won the 1st place. The IEC Booths feature interactive displays, games, and printed materials where the Mount Rock Powder Corporation bags the grand prize.
